Job Description:
Construction Materials Testing (Soils, Asphalt, Concrete) - Central Maryland Want to jumpstart your leadership career in the construction industry? Take the lead on active construction projects as a Project Manager overseeing construction materials testing operations in a fast-paced field environment. In this role, you'll coordinate field staff, manage daily schedules and project workflows, and ensure inspections, testing, and reporting are completed accurately and on time. You'll work closely with technicians, project teams, and clients to resolve issues, maintain quality standards, and keep projects moving efficiently. This is an employee-owned company. Become an owner with this well-established and successful ESOP! This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, $60k+ annually plus excellent benefits! You'll be responsible for managing project deliverables including budgets, schedules, invoices, and documentation, while also supporting field activities such as testing soils, aggregate, concrete, masonry, structural steel, asphalt, and fireproofing . This role also includes mentoring junior staff, maintaining equipment and records, and contributing to strong client relationships. Work 50/50 in the field and office. What we're looking for: 2+ years of construction materials testing/inspection experience Certifications in soils, concrete, asphalt, or related materials Knowledge of ASTM standards and CMT principles Excellent communication and organizational skills Can work effectively independently but enjoys being part of a team Ability to manage teams and multiple project priorities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a leadership role with room for continued growth, have strong mentorship, and opportunities for advancement within a team-oriented, employee-focused environment.
