Job Description
We are a Specialized Adult Foster Care Home dedicated to providing quality care and meaningful lives for adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Position Summary The Program Supervisor is a key member of our leadership team. You'll oversee daily operations, ensure residents receive the highest standard of care, and lead a dedicated team of caregivers. This role combines leadership, organization, and compassion — perfect for someone who loves helping others thrive. Key Responsibilities Resident Care Ensure all health and safety measures are met. Coordinate delivery of medical, psychological, and supportive services. Advocate for residents and maintain confidentiality. Monitor person-centered plans (IPOS) for success and quality. Attend person-centered planning meetings as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of all resident services. Communicate regularly with guardians, case managers, and other professionals. Facility Operations Maintain compliance with DHS, CMH, fire safety, and company standards. Oversee billing, payroll, and staff scheduling. Conduct monthly staff meetings and keep accurate minutes. Prepare for licensing renewals and inspections. Manage vehicle use, mileage, and maintenance. Participate in the "on-call" rotation by being available via phone to assist with staff questions, guidance and support during emergency situations. Staff Leadership Hire, train, and supervise direct care staff. Model professional, positive behavior and teamwork. Conduct staff evaluations and monitor performance. Promote fairness and consistency in all staff interactions. Maintain accurate records of schedules, time sheets, and personnel files.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of college coursework in business, social science, or related human service discipline preferred.Experience:
2-4 years working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness. 1-2 years management or supervisory experience preferred. Experience in healthcare or behavioral health strongly preferred.Skills & Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Calm and effective problem-solving during emergencies. Must be of good moral character, group home trained, and able to pass a complete background check.
