This is a high-impact role for someone who can manage multiple active projects, work directly with ownership, communicate with clients, coordinate subcontractors, and help bring structure to a fast-growing construction operation. The ideal candidate has strong commercial construction experience, ideally with a mix of interior build-outs, exterior renovations, industrial, distribution, warehouse, medical, education, office, retail, or ground-up commercial projects. This person should be comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where decisions move quickly and ownership is highly involved. This role is best suited for a hands-on PM who can step into a growing backlog, stabilize execution, mentor junior team members, and help the company continue scaling without sacrificing quality, communication, or profitability. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial construction projects from kickoff through completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, client communication, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout. Lead projects in sectors such as industrial, warehouse/distribution, medical, education, office, retail, churches, trucking terminals, and other commercial facilities. Coordinate with ownership, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and clients to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Review plans, scopes, estimates, contracts, schedules, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment before work begins. Track budgets, costs, change orders, margins, and billing milestones. Maintain strong client relationships and help identify opportunities for repeat business. Provide leadership and structure to project teams as the company continues to grow. Anticipate project issues before they become major problems and drive practical solutions in the field and office. Support ownership by taking full accountability for project execution and reducing the need for day-to-day owner involvement. Ideal Background 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience. Experience working for a general contractor, commercial construction manager, design/build contractor, or industrial/commercial construction firm. Strong preference for candidates with ground-up commercial, industrial, warehouse, distribution, trucking terminal, healthcare, education, office, retail, or tenant improvement experience. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong subcontractor management, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication skills. Comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company with a small but high-performing team. Experience with construction technology, cloud-based project management platforms, daily logs, photos, schedules, and digital documentation is a plus.
