What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)
Field Oversight:
Conduct pre-construction surveys and thorough inspections of contractor work (Aerial and Underground).
Safety Leadership:
Perform safety audits and ensure 100% compliance with WAP, OSHA, and company policies.
Quality Control:
Verify as-built drawings and schematics to ensure they meet RUS construction standards and NESC requirements.
Project Tracking:
Monitor construction jobs to ensure timely completion, tracking productivity, material consumption, and permit status.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Coordinate with local municipalities, VDOT, and utilities while handling customer inquiries professionally.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
5+ years in OSP/Telecom Engineering or Construction Management.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent field experience.
Technical Expertise:
Expert knowledge in
CAD, GIS
mapping, RUS Construction standards, and Fiber Splicing.
Management:
Experience managing project budgets, vendor relationships, and coaching/mentoring junior staff.
Technical:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel) and project management software.
Mobility:
Ability to walk or stand for 4+ hours per day in various terrain/weather.
Travel:
Must be willing to travel within the state (same-day) up to 70% of the time.
Compliance:
Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a background check and MVR check.
