We're partnering with an innovative homebuilding and fabrication company that is redefining how custom, steel-framed homes are designed and manufactured. They are looking for a Fabrication BIM Coordinator to play a critical role in building the BIM infrastructure behind a growing factory operation in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between design, modeling, and real-world fabrication while working in a fast-moving startup environment. As the Fabrication BIM Coordinator, you will work closely with architecture teams, remote modeling partners, and factory leadership to create and organize the systems that support precision off-site construction. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role where your ability to translate between the design and fabrication worlds will have a direct impact on production success. What You'll Be Doing Coordinate between remote modeling teams, architecture teams, and on-site factory operations Create and develop Revit families and assemblies for structural components and fabrication systems Organize and maintain BIM environments within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Support workflows that align design intent with fabrication and manufacturing requirements Work directly with factory leadership to ensure BIM systems support production efficiency Help establish scalable BIM standards and processes as the operation grows Communicate effectively across technical and operational teams What We're Looking For Strong proficiency in Revit, including creating families and assemblies from scratch Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar BIM collaboration platforms Residential or light commercial drafting experience AutoCAD or similar CAD software experience is strongly preferred Ability to work on-site in Grand Rapids, MI on a regular basis Strong communication and coordination skills Comfortable working in a startup environment with evolving processes Self-starter mindset with the ability to problem-solve independently Nice to Have Experience with steel-framed, modular, or panelized construction Familiarity with DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) workflows Exposure to Grasshopper, Dynamo, or parametric design tools Compensation & Work Setup Contract-to-full-time opportunity On-site role based in Grand Rapids, Michigan Opportunity to grow into a long-term position as the factory operation scales Collaborative startup environment with significant growth potential If you're excited by the idea of helping shape the future of off-site construction and want to work at the intersection of BIM, fabrication, and innovative homebuilding, we'd love to hear from you.
