Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Construction to lead our project delivery, field operations, and construction teams. In this critical leadership role, you will bridge the gap between our corporate vision and physical execution, overseeing multiple large-scale projects and capital improvements across our portfolio. If you are a seasoned construction executive with a passion for driving quality, safety, and financial efficiency, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities Project Oversight:
Direct all phases of project lifecycles from preconstruction through execution and closeout, ensuring all scope, budget, and schedule targets are met.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
Financial Management:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets, track cost variances, and maximize profitability.
Risk Management:
Identify potential logistical, technical, or contractual issues early and negotiate solutions with stakeholders.
Safety Culture:
Champion an injury-free work environment by strictly enforcing OSHA compliance and internal safety standards across all job sites.
Stakeholder Reporting:
Document the status of every project phase and provide regular, data-driven updates to upper management and clients.
Qualifications & Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
Experience:
10+ years of progressive, hands-on construction management experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or director-level role.
Technical Acumen:
Advanced ability to read complex architectural plans, technical specifications, and legal contracts.
Software:
Proficiency with industry-standard construction management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, CMiC, MS Project).
Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills paired with a client-centric focus.
