  • Travel Required Industry Focus Hyperscale Data Centers Municipal Fresh/Waste Water Mechanical Piping Mission-Critical Facilities Position Summary We are seeking a technically strong, field-driven Construction Project Manager to lead mechanical piping and plumbing scopes within mission-critical project environments.
This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in high-stakes, fast-paced settings where uptime, precision, and coordination are essential. The ideal candidate brings four years of project management experience, preferably with a mechanical background, and a proven ability to deliver complex mechanical systems in hyperscale or 24/7 operational facilities. You will be responsible for driving project success from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution Develop and manage detailed project schedules (Primavera P6 and/or MS Project) Identify critical path activities and implement recovery plans as needed Coordinate construction phasing to maintain uptime in live environments Budget & Cost Management Manage project budgets across mechanical and plumbing scopes Perform forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis Process RFIs, change orders, and scope gaps to protect project margins Subcontractor & Field Management Lead subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, and contract execution Monitor performance through field presence, meetings, and reporting Ensure compliance with schedule, safety, quality, and documentation standards Commissioning & Startup Oversee mechanical commissioning including testing and system validation Coordinate with Cx agents, vendors, and owners to meet design intent Support system turnover in active, mission-critical environments Technology & Coordination Drive BIM coordination and clash detection (Navisworks/Revit) Utilize platforms such as Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud for project tracking Promote digital tools to improve efficiency and reduce rework Closeout & Turnover Manage punch lists and ensure timely completion of all items Oversee closeout documentation including as-builts, O&M manuals, and warranties Coordinate final inspections, training, and owner handoff Required Qualifications Four or more years of construction project management experience (mechanical, piping, or plumbing) Experience with data centers, municipal work and/or large-scale mission-critical facilities Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project Working knowledge of Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar tools are an added bonus Strong understanding of mechanical commissioning processes (HVAC, piping, plumbing) Proven ability to manage subcontractors, budgets, and schedules Willingness to travel and work on-site
