Our children's crisis home is a place where safety, trust, and skilled support come together to help children reset, stabilize, and move forward. We are hiring a House Coordinator (HC) who can lead in the moments that matter most. We are looking for someone who brings experience, presence, and sound judgment into a fast-paced, high-needs environment. This is a leadership role for someone who understands that behavior is communication , and who can guide a team to respond with skill, consistency, and accountability . The children we serve are often in crisis. The teams you lead will look to you for direction, support, and consistency. Your leadership directly impacts whether a home feels chaotic, or calm, safe, and effective. What You'll Do Lead the day-to-day operations of a children's crisis residential home , ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment Support and coach staff through real-time crisis situations , modeling effective de-escalation and intervention strategies Ensure consistent implementation of person-centered and positive support plans Facilitate and lead team meetings , including internal staffing and external team collaboration Build a culture of a ccountability, communication, and trust within your team Partner with families, case managers, and other professionals to support stabilization and next steps Oversee documentation and ensure compliance with 245D and licensing standards Respond to urgent needs as they arise This role requires flexibility, resilience, and follow-through. You will navigate crisis situations, support staff through challenges, and make decisions in real time. This role is demanding. Who You Are You are calm under pressure, clear in your expectations, and grounded in your approach. You know how to balance empathy with structure , and you're not afraid to step in when situations escalate.
You bring:
Strong experience with children who have complex behavioral and emotional needs Proven ability in de-escalation and crisis response Confidence leading teams through difficult conversations and high-stress situations A commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed care The ability to coach, redirect, and develop staff in real time Required Qualifications Meet qualifications as a Positive Support Analyst under 245D (or ability to qualify) Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in behavioral health, crisis services, or residential care Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong communication and documentation skills Valid driver's license and ability to pass background study Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Sits, stands, walks, bends, lifts, pushes, pulls, and moves intermittently during work hours. Ability to complete tasks such as shoveling, shopping, mowing, vacuuming, pushing a wheelchair, etc. Educational Level High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent. Degree in a related field preferred Schedule 40+ flexible hours; some weekends The House Coordinator is a role requiring a flexible schedule, filling in for or delegating shifts as needed. Our first priority is to the safety and stability for the residents of our homes.
