Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale commercial building projects from inception to completion. In this vital role, you will coordinate all on-site activities, manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensure safety compliance, and uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Your leadership will drive project success by maintaining schedules, controlling budgets, and fostering a collaborative team environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape impactful commercial developments while utilizing your expertise in construction management and site supervision. Responsibilities Lead daily on-site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. Supervise subcontractors and construction crews, providing clear direction and ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Oversee project scheduling using Microsoft Project or other construction management software to maintain momentum and meet deadlines. Monitor quality control processes to ensure work meets industry standards and contractual requirements. Manage procurement activities, including reviewing contracts and overseeing material deliveries. Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Maintain detailed documentation of progress, change orders, safety incidents, and daily logs. Implement project budgets by tracking costs against estimates using construction management software solutions like ProCore or Bluebeam. Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and keep projects aligned with goals. Requirements Proven experience in heavy commercial construction management with a strong background in supervising large teams on active sites. Extensive knowledge of construction site safety protocols, OSHA standards, and quality assurance practices. Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid or equivalent tools for scheduling and estimating. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for effective supervision. Demonstrated skills in project scheduling, budgeting, contract management, and managing multiple subcontractors simultaneously. Strong leadership qualities with experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, vendors, architects, engineers, and internal teams. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and the use of construction site measurement tools like an ohmmeter or similar devices. Valid OSHA 30 and SWPPP certifications are preferred.
