Job Description

We work side by side with our Team Members in the Property Development group by leveraging continual collaboration throughout the life cycle of each project. Position Summary The Associate Development Manager plays an integral role on the Real Estate and Development Team by supporting the delivery of new Life Time destinations in partnership with Architecture, Design, and Construction professionals. The Associate Development Manager will collaborate with senior team members and will report to the Director of Development. Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist Real Estate Managers in evaluating feasibility of new projects by overseeing concept plans, researching zoning code, and supporting the development of market strategies. Assist Engineering Managers with drafting RFPs and managing contracts for planning & design professionals including zoning attorneys, consulting engineers (civil, environmental, geotechnical) and landscape architects. Assist Development Managers with coordinating and reviewing all Due Diligence inspections including title and survey review, Geotech, environmental, and zoning verifications. Support the Real Estate and Development Managers with Business Planning process by managing internal milestones and drafting project scope narratives, budgets, schedules, and presentations. Obtain all zoning and entitlement approvals and permits necessary for the construction and operation of Life Time facilities. This includes participation in stakeholder meetings with other Developers, Neighborhood Associations, and Public Hearings. Support the real estate transaction by managing contractual obligations and ensuring successful delivery of all closing documents. Support the construction phase by managing post-closing contractual obligations, assisting the construction team in obtaining occupancy permits, and overseeing scope, schedule, and budget through until Turnover to Operations. Position Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Real Estate or related fields. 2-5 years of experience in Real Estate Development, Engineering, or Construction Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to lead effective team meetings, build relationships, and being comfortable with public speaking. Previous Project Management experience that includes critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making.
