Construction Site Quality Manager

Summary The Site Quality Manager will perform key activities required to assure conformance to customer specifications and applicable codes. The Site Quality Manager reports to the Quality Director, receives schedule direction and priorities from the Site Construction Manager, and works closely with all members of the project leadership team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Applying quality control/assurance specifications, codes, and standards Perform Receiving Inspection Perform Weld Mapping Perform Visual Inspection (welds, dimensions, orientation) Select and schedule Non-destructive Examination (RT, PT, MT, PMI, Hardness Testing) Review of all inspection reports on a daily basis Coordination of welder qualifications testing Reviewing of all summary reports and perform daily entries into Procore Checking test packages for NDT compliance prior to testing Reviewing the site subcontractors testing Selection of item for non-destructive testing Control issue of welding electrodes Coordinate the issue of nonconformance reports through the Quality Manger Complete quality instructions to subcontractors when required Other duties as assigned Experience, Education & Skills Five years of quality control/ assurance experience, preferably in an industrial construction/fabrication environment Associate's Diploma in related field is preferred Knowledge of NDE methods, including VT, UT, PT, MT and

RT AWS CWI

Required

AWS, ASME, ANSI 3-A

experience preferred Strong communication skills Proficiency in MS Office Working Conditions The work week will be 6-10hr days $170 subsistence x 7 days/week Temporary position with a duration of 6+ months Temporary relocation to Nashwauk, MN is required for this position. Most of the work will be in the field supporting the craft workers Construction site environment (commercial, industrial, process plants) - Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, and climb for safety inspection purposes while wearing safety equipment / PPE. Must be able to drive a vehicle.
