Job Summary:
We're seeking a versatile and hands-on Waterproofing Crew Leader to drive our basement waterproofing and crawl space encapsulation projects. This role requires a proactive leader who actively participates in on-site tasks, guiding the team to install top-tier moisture barrier and water management systems. Your strong leadership skills and willingness to work side-by-side with the team will be crucial in fostering a culture of hard work, meticulous quality, and excellence.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Active Participation:
Lead by example, actively participating in on-site waterproofing and encapsulation tasks while coordinating the team's activities. Guide and work alongside the crew to complete projects efficiently.
Project Coordination:
Plan daily tasks, allocate materials (such as drainage piping, sump pumps, vapor barriers, and dehumidifiers), and manage project timelines to ensure the timely completion of all jobs.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards of workmanship; conduct regular inspections to ensure drainage pitch, basin placements, and vapor barrier seals meet Acculevel's strict quality and water-tight standards.
Technical Support & Problem Solving:
Provide guidance using hands-on knowledge of water management techniques, specialized plumbing/trenching tools, and concrete breaching equipment to assist the team in navigating complex basement and crawl space conditions.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines—particularly regarding dust control, tool safety, and confined-space operations (basements and crawl spaces).
Client Communication:
Effectively communicate with homeowners, addressing concerns, explaining the waterproofing system setup, and providing project updates with a professional, hands-on approach.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and essential documentation for project reporting.
Requirements:
Leadership Experience:
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a field team, setting an example through active, hands-on participation.
Waterproofing/Technical Aptitude:
Strong familiarity with general construction, plumbing, or home remodeling tools. Experience with sub-floor drainage, sump pump installation, or crawl space encapsulation is highly preferred, but we will train a proven leader. Comfort with
Confined Spaces:
Ability to work comfortably in basements and crawl spaces, handling the physical demands of trenching, lifting, and installing heavy barrier materials.
Safety Focus:
Understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and secure work environment.
Communication Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and internal reporting.
Valid Driver's License:
Required for travel to project sites and operating company fleet vehicles (clean driving record required).
