Job Description
OCC Superintendent II Duties and Responsibilities:
This role involves overseeing and coordinating field construction activities across multiple trade disciplines (e.g., electrical, plumbing, mechanical, finishes) to ensure safe, timely, and quality project execution. The candidate will work closely with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to support all phases of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate subcontractors across multiple trades during active field construction
Review construction drawings and assist in scope of work development
Develop and maintain project schedules; ensure subcontractor adherence to timelines
Lead and attend weekly client progress meetings
Coordinate subcontractor schedules and resolve on-site conflicts
Obtain, submit, and track material submittals and shop drawings
Perform field layout and monitor construction progress
Review subcontractor performance for adherence to safety protocols and work quality
Prepare daily progress reports and maintain photo documentation of project activities
Track monthly subcontractor labor hours and provide to the Safety representative monthly. Support the preparation of as-built drawings and project closeout documentation
Review and approve subcontractor payment applications Preferred Experience:
Prior experience with Job Order Contracting (JOC) or working on federal installations is a plus Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of current experience as a Lead Superintendent on commercial, educational, and/or government construction projects
Demonstrated stable work history with proven leadership on interior and exterior projects
Broad working knowledge of multiple trades and general construction practices
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow established reporting structures
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Adobe software
College degree preferred, but not required
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred Additional Requirements:
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to occasionally climb ladders or lift and move heavy materials, as required by project activities.
Driving Requirements:
Use of a company pool vehicle or driving on client property may be required. A valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check are mandatory.
