Job Description

Western Excavating Western Excavating is a local family-owned company that operates out of Missoula, Montana. Western Excavating is a civil construction company that performs multiple civil construction tasks in Commercial, Residential and Underground Utility projects. Those tasks include building excavation; mass grading; road and parking lot construction; site concrete such as curb and sidewalk, water, sewer and storm drain utilities, and residential packages including foundations and flatwork Western is an aggregate supplier with gravel pits and concrete and asphalt plants. CONSTRUCTION SITE SUPERVISOR
in Missoula, Montana to ensure the daily, efficient operation of the crew and equipment on construction sites. Compensation depends on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise a construction crew of Laborers and Operators. Utilize equipment, personnel, and other resources to complete the scope of the project within timelines and as efficiently as possible. Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications and related documents. Ability to operate equipment as needed. Responsible for catching deviations from the specifications and plans as it relates to scope, contract and schedule. Manage and prepare change orders as required. Work with Project Managers to coordinate project schedules. Maintain strong communication with Project Managers, employees, clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment on all job sites. Provide leadership through building relationships, motivating others, providing clear direction, and cooperative teamwork. This position reports directly to the Construction Manager.
