  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard management and scheduling software. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Construction Superintendent will play a critical role in maintaining quality standards, managing subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to all project specifications and regulations. Responsibilities Lead and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring project milestones are met efficiently and safely. Coordinate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software. Oversee daily site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control measures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate execution of plans. Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist in construction estimating to stay within financial parameters. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and enforce safety protocols across all job sites. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality standards, and safety compliance. Utilize tools such as the ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting as needed. Prepare reports on project status, issues, and resolutions for stakeholders. Supervise subcontractors and construction teams, providing leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects. Extensive knowledge of construction site operations, safety regulations (OSHA), and quality control procedures. Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Excellent management skills with the ability to supervise subcontractors and coordinate diverse teams efficiently. Experience working in pipeline or heavy civil construction projects is preferred. Relevant certifications such as OSHA certification are highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to read technical documents and manage client expectations effectively.
