Job Description

Position Overview The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all field electrical activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role provides leadership to field personnel, ensures compliance with codes and regulations, and serves as the primary liaison between project management, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. This role will focus on sites local to Charlotte. Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations & Supervision Direct and supervise electrical crews, foremen, and subcontractors on multiple job sites. Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily and weekly work activities to meet project milestones. Ensure proper manpower levels, material availability, tools, and equipment for efficient execution. Monitor productivity and implement improvements where necessary. Project Coordination Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to interpret plans, specifications, and schedules. Participate in project planning, pre-construction meetings, and progress reviews. Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays proactively. Safety & Compliance Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. Conduct regular site inspections, safety meetings, and audits. Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Quality Assurance Ensure all installations meet design specifications and quality standards. Perform inspections and coordinate testing and commissioning activities. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and inspections. Resource & Cost Management Track labor, material usage, and equipment to control project costs. Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials. Assist in managing budgets, change orders, and cost reporting. Client & Stakeholder Relations Maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and vendors. Represent the company in meetings and site visits. Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes. Qualifications Proven experience in electrical construction supervision or a similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with project management tools and construction software. Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred. Relevant electrical licenses or certifications as required by local regulations. Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA or equivalent) preferred.
