Job Description

We are a growing water, fire, and mold restoration and general construction company seeking an experienced Project Manager to handle a hands‑on, mixed workload that includes both field responsibilities and project management duties. This position is best suited for someone with a solid construction background who understands how jobs actually run in the field and can hold crews and subcontractors accountable. This is not an entry‑level position. Candidates must bring real‑world construction experience and the ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast‑paced environment.
Position Overview:
This role requires a balance of jobsite presence and project management. You will be expected to spend time in the field reviewing work, solving problems, and assisting as needed, while also assisting with scheduling, documentation, coordination, and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple restoration and construction projects from start to finish Coordinate and oversee in‑house crews and subcontractors Spend regular time on job sites to verify scope, quality, sequencing, and safety Ensure subcontractors meet performance expectations, schedules, and scope requirements Identify poor workmanship, incomplete scope, or code/industry issues and correct them Understand what should be expected of each trade and enforce those standards Communicate with homeowners, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, and internal staff Assist with estimating, change orders, job costing, and insurance documentation Manage project budgets through accurate construction estimating through estimation software Maintain job photos, reports, and project records Step in for moderate physical labor when needed Required Experience & Skill Set (Screening Criteria): Demonstrated experience in construction project coordination or management Strong working knowledge of multiple construction trades, including: Framing, drywall, insulation, flooring, trim, and painting Demolition and rebuild sequencing Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical coordination (licensing not required) Ability to evaluate workmanship quality and identify when work is not performed correctly Comfortable managing subcontractors and addressing performance issues directly Restoration experience (water, fire, mold) extremely helpful but not required Insurance and estimating experience are a plus Strong computer skills required (email, documentation, estimating/job software) Valid driver's license with good driving record required Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment Reliable, self‑directed, and willing to be hands‑on when the job requires it If relocating, housing must already be secured
