Job Description
Position Overview:
The Construction Project Manager will play a key role in managing medium-to-large scale construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and safety regulations. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for all phases of the construction process, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
Lead the planning and execution of multiple construction projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budgets, and timelines. Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design and execution are aligned with the project vision.Team Leadership & Management:
Lead and mentor project teams, including assistant project managers, project engineers, construction workers, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, addressing any issues that arise. Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring quality and compliance with contractual obligations.Risk Management & Problem Solving:
Identify and manage potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Resolve project-related issues and disputes promptly, maintaining project progress and stakeholder relationships. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards.Quality Control & Compliance:
Ensure that all construction activities are performed according to quality standards, specifications, and regulations. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure work is being executed to the required standards.Budget & Financial Management:
Manage project budgets and track expenditures to ensure financial targets are met. Execute purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and change orders, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and complete. Regularly report on project status, financials, and progress to senior leadership and clients.Client and Stakeholder Relations:
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns. Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded. Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.Project Closeout:
Oversee the final inspection, punch work, and project closeout process and documentation. Ensure all project documentation is completed and submitted, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation/maintenance manuals.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred). Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record in overseeing complex, large-scale projects. OSHA certification (10-hour or 30-hour) preferred. Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, safety regulations, and industry standards. Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and cost control for construction projects. Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, etc.). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.Benefits:
