Job Description
Habitat for Humanity is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Construction Site Supervisor to lead residential building projects while engaging and managing volunteers of all experience levels. This role combines hands-on construction expertise with strong leadership and communication skills to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality homebuilding in partnership with the community. Key Responsibilities Construction Management Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily on-site construction activities. Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with building codes and safety regulations. Perform and supervise tasks such as framing, crawlspace sealing, flooring, trim, door installation, and more Maintain tools, equipment, and materials inventory. Volunteer Leadership Lead, train, and supervise volunteers with varying skill levels in a positive and inclusive environment. Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and ongoing support to ensure volunteers feel confident and productive. Foster a meaningful volunteer experience that reflects Habitat for Humanity's mission and values. Safety & Compliance Enforce strict adherence to job site safety protocols and OSHA standards. Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify and mitigate potential hazards on-site. Project Coordination Collaborate with staff, subcontractors, and partner families to ensure smooth project execution. Assist in scheduling volunteer groups and coordinating workdays. Track progress and report on milestones, challenges, and resource needs. Community Engagement Represent Habitat for Humanity professionally to volunteers, donors, and community partners. Support the organization's mission by promoting teamwork, respect, and inclusivity on-site. Qualifications 3+ years of residential construction experience (supervisory experience preferred). Demonstrated ability to lead and teach individuals or groups, especially in hands-on environments. Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and safety practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain a positive, encouraging attitude. Physically able to perform construction tasks and work outdoors in varying conditions. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with volunteers or in nonprofit/community-based programs. Knowledge of affordable housing initiatives. OSHA certification or equivalent safety training. Knowledge of System Vision or similar building practices
Pay:
