Job Description

Superintendent - Hospitality Construction Position Summary A leading commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for large-scale hospitality and hotel construction projects. This role is responsible for managing on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in hospitality or large commercial construction and possess strong leadership skills, scheduling expertise, and the ability to manage complex hotel builds in fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations for hospitality and hotel construction projects Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved on time Monitor quality control and ensure all work complies with plans and specifications Conduct daily jobsite meetings and safety briefings Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies Manage site logistics, deliveries, manpower coordination, and work sequencing Identify and resolve field issues, scheduling conflicts, and construction challenges proactively Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and turnover activities Maintain clear communication with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and hospitality brand representatives Track project progress and provide regular updates to leadership teams Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite environment Qualifications Minimum of 10+ years of experience in commercial construction supervision Proven experience managing hospitality, hotel, resort, or large commercial construction projects Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and field coordination Experience managing high-end interior finishes, guest rooms, amenity spaces, and public areas Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and fast-paced construction schedules Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software OSHA 30 certification preferred Valid driver's license required Preferred Experience Experience with hotel construction projects Experience with occupied renovations or phased turnover projects Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction platforms Background in multi-story hospitality, mixed-use, or urban development projects Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary and bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Vehicle allowance or company vehicle Long-term career growth opportunities Opportunity to work on high-profile hospitality developments
