Job Description

Express Employment Professionals of Fargo, ND is recruiting a Construction Project Manager for a well-established commercial construction company in the Fargo area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading projects from concept through completion. As the Construction Project Manager, you will oversee commercial construction projects while serving as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and field teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Delivery Manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion. Coordinate permitting, inspections, and approvals with local agencies and regulatory bodies. Monitor project progress and proactively address scheduling or operational challenges. Budget Management & Cost Control Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking. Review project financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings. Manage change orders, ensuring proper documentation, pricing, and approvals. Review and approve subcontractor invoices and progress billings. Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and award subcontracts and purchase orders. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met. Resolve field issues, scheduling conflicts, and project obstacles efficiently. Ensure all work complies with project specifications and safety standards. Client Relations & Project Quality Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers. Provide regular project updates and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Conduct site visits and quality inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes. Lead project meetings and maintain accurate project documentation. QualificationsEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Equivalent construction project management experience will be considered. Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and project management practices. Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. Desired Competencies Strong leadership and team-building abilities. Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Effective negotiation and contract management experience. Ability to solve problems quickly and make sound decisions under pressure. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
