Field Engineer Site Worker Fargo, ND Job Details Full-time $90,000 - $105,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Position Overview SiteWorker is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Engineer to support civil construction operations on an active project in Fargo, North Dakota. This role will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field crews to support daily operations, production tracking, scheduling, quality control, and project documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil construction projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced field environments. This position follows a rotational 10 days on / 4 days off schedule and will primarily support night shift operations . Key Responsibilities Support daily field operations and coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and project management teams Assist with project planning, scheduling, and production tracking Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure work is completed accurately Perform field measurements, inspections, and quantity tracking Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and field records Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and OSHA safety regulations Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower needs for field activities Assist with quality control and issue resolution on active job sites Support surveying, layout verification, and site logistics as needed Participate in safety meetings and maintain a strong safety culture on site Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required Experience in civil construction, heavy civil, roadway, grading, utilities, or infrastructure projects preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software Ability to work night shifts and rotational schedules Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments OSHA certification preferred Preferred Experience Heavy civil or roadway construction projects Earthwork, grading, concrete, or utility installation Survey/layout coordination Production tracking and field reporting Working on large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects
