Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead shop and field service operations supporting heavy construction and specialty equipment . This role is responsible for day-to-day service execution, customer satisfaction, team leadership, and operational performance. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a solid background in heavy equipment service, scheduling, and cost control, and a customer-first mindset. Key Responsibilities- Manage daily operations of shop and road service teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as a key point of contact for service-related needs
- Oversee scheduling, workflow planning, and work order management to meet customer and business deadlines
- Monitor service performance, labor utilization, and cost control to support profitability and efficiency
- Partner with local unions to maintain a positive, productive, and compliant work environment
- Coach, train, and develop technicians and service staff, driving performance and professional growth
- Support service standards, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts Qualifications & Preferred Experience
- Proven leadership and people management experience in a heavy equipment service environment
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing shop and field service scheduling, work orders, and service costs
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop technical teams
- Background supporting construction, foundation, utility, crane, or specialty equipment is preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
