Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with roughly 10 years in commercial construction who can independently run and maintain projects from start to finish while reporting back to our main office. This is a role for a true self-starter who can lead an OAC or subcontractor meeting, keep the paperwork tight, hold the schedule and budget, and step in to support the wider team when the office needs it. If you like wearing multiple hats and being part of a collaborative group, you will fit right in here. Key Responsibilities
  • Independently run and maintain assigned projects from start to finish, keeping the main office informed with regular progress reporting
  • Lead and run job meetings, including OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) and subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Manage the submittal process, ensuring submittals are tracked, reviewed, and approved on time
  • Coordinate insurance requirements and certificates for the project and subcontractors
  • Handle project billing, including pay applications and supporting documentation
  • Prepare, negotiate, and process change orders
  • Develop, maintain, and update the project schedule to keep work on track
  • Review and monitor the project budget, identifying and addressing cost issues early
  • Oversee day-to-day field activity, quality, and safety, and conduct job site walk-throughs Office and Team Support Because we are a small company, this role also pitches in across the office and the broader business as needed, including:
  • Purchasing materials and equipment
  • Developing and reviewing scopes of work
  • Building and maintaining schedules
  • Preparing and responding to RFPs and bid packages
  • Performing job walk-throughs and site assessments
  • Supporting estimating, preconstruction, and other team members wherever needed Qualifications
  • Approximately 10 years of project management experience in construction
  • Proven ability to independently run and maintain a project from start to finish
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to run a job meeting with owners, architects, and subcontractors
  • Solid understanding of submittals, insurance, billing, change orders, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through without being told
  • Team player who is willing to go beyond a strict job description and help wherever the company needs it
