Our mission is to Do Good Work, and that starts with the people. Superintendent job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide leadership, management, and serve as primary point of contact for all site-related activities, with emphasis on site safety program administration, quality assurance, and scheduling
  • Oversee job site cleanliness
  • Conduct all communications, presentations, and site operations in a professional and organized manner
  • Ensure TCON collateral/signage is displayed correctly at the site
  • Engage clients, architects, and other jobsite contacts for additional opportunities and share with TCON
  • Communicate and manage site safety plans to team and sub-tiers at preconstruction meetings, which promotes safe working conditions, addresses and identifies hazards, and works to proactively prevent hazards from emerging in the first place
  • Assist Project Manager in development of site-specific safety plan compliant with OSHA requirements
  • Act as the point of contact for OSHA visitations, immediately notifying your supervisor on further directions
  • Investigate all accidents on site and communicate details with Project Manager and human resources
  • Ensure prior to any subcontractor work on site, TCON has all executed subcontracts and all required exhibits on file with corporate office and the Superintendent has administered a preconstruction meeting with the subcontractor
  • Understand all TCON's obligations, have an experienced and deep understanding of the Construction Documents (plans, specifications, bidding documents, etc.)
  • Inform Project Manager of any client or architect request to perform services/improvements beyond TCON obligations
  • Ensure subcontractors do not proceed beyond TCON's obligations without prior ACO approval
  • Assist PM in identifying, assessing impact of proposed changes by client or architect
  • Identify deviations, conflicts, or inconsistencies in construction documents by consulting with sub-tier experts, verifying with the PE, and all other means necessary
  • Identify conflicts, communication (RFI and issued log), and participate in resolution
  • Evaluate, maintain, and communicate all design team issued/acknowledged ASIs, RFIs, or submittal of materials
  • Advise PM of all changes which may result in change of cost or schedule
  • Maintain record set of drawings and as-builts
  • Support and help facilitate TCON Quality Assurance goals, policies, and procedures as the point person, held accountable for all quality-related issues
  • Initiate, schedule, audit work in advance, accompanying government and third-party inspectors to have the construction work reviewed and approved efficiently
  • Rectify any non-conforming/non-compliance issues to minimize delay impacts to the schedule and will be considered closed once written approval of correction(s) is issued by the originating authority
  • Assist PM is drafting punch list/delivery acceptance procedures for the project. Once the procedure is accepted by the architect and client, you are responsible for professional, timely, and quality presentations of the work for inspection
  • Facilitate rapid response to "area of work to be completed" or "items of inadequacy" with priority attention in accordance with delivery plan
  • Take ownership in executed sub-tier agreement scopes of work, holding sub-tier accountable to scope and contract terms
  • Be resourceful, prioritized, and use all elements of this job description to swiftly resolve logistical, procedural, quality, scheduling, and scope of work conflicts in a timely manner
  • Identify conflicts, author resolution, execute both formal (notices of non-performance to sub-tiers, letters of non-compliance) and informal communication without abandoning until the matter is resolved
  • Managing Assistant Superintendent (if PM approved) responsibilities demonstrating ownership of Assistant Superintendent's performance results
  • Provide written evaluation of each subcontractor/supplier performance and communicate with PM and team
  • Attend/participate in/run project preconstruction meetings with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Attend/participate in Owner, Architect, jurisdictional authorities, and utility
  • Attend OAC meetings, ensuring all supporting meeting documents are professionally prepared, accurate, and complete
  • Run site coordination and safety weekly meetings with subcontractors and suppliers. Create and communicate all supporting meeting documents
  • Author/communicate daily reports and photos with all critical reports and documents to ensure all information is timely, complete, and accurate
  • Ensure project documents follow Document Management Protocol and stored in Procore A successful TCON Superintendent will meet these qualifications:
  • Strong written and oral communication / interpersonal / negotiation skills
  • Strong computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
  • Dispute resolution
  • Financial and job cost accounting knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure, coordinate numerous activities and groups of people in a collaborative nature to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Extensive airline/automobile travel may be required (up to 4 weeks/month)
  • Able to work in an office and field environment
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines

$75,000.00
