About the Opportunity A well-established regional General Contractor with a strong portfolio of commercial and multifamily projects is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on an exciting, ground-up multifamily development in Albuquerque, NM. This is a confidential search on behalf of a reputable contractor known for delivering complex, high-quality projects with a collaborative and craft-driven culture. The ideal candidate is a seasoned field leader who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and has a proven track record of successfully delivering multifamily projects from groundbreaking through certificate of occupancy. Key Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day field operations for a ground-up multifamily construction project Manage subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Develop, maintain, and enforce the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager Conduct daily site walks and document progress, RFIs, safety observations, and weather conditions Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and toolbox talks Enforce all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure timely approvals Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Project Executive to proactively identify and resolve issues Manage material deliveries, staging, and storage logistics on site Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times Qualifications Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience in ground-up multifamily construction — this is a required qualification; candidates without multifamily experience will not be considered Demonstrated ability to manage projects ranging from mid-size to large-scale multifamily developments Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, means and methods, and building systems Proficiency with scheduling software (Procore, Primavera P6, or similar) Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage large subcontractor teams OSHA 30 certification preferred Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings Compensation & Benefits Base salary up to $150,000 (commensurate with experience) Performance bonus eligibility Travel per diem provided Monthly phone allowance Vehicle allowance Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision) 401(k) with company contribution Opportunity for long-term project pipeline and career growth within a growing regional GC Additional Information This position is based on-site in Albuquerque, NM for the duration of the project.
