Job Description
A respected and growing general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of ground-up multifamily construction projects in the Santa Fe market. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional to join a team with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and client satisfaction while gaining exposure to all aspects of project management. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, or similar ground-up construction projects and be looking to grow into a Project Manager role. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of ground-up construction projects. Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and contract correspondence. Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel throughout the project lifecycle. Track project schedules and assist in identifying potential delays and solutions. Support procurement efforts, subcontract administration, and material tracking. Assist with budget management, cost reporting, forecasting, and change management. Review subcontractor pay applications, invoices, and supporting documentation. Monitor project progress and help ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. Participate in owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, and internal project reviews. Assist with permitting, inspections, closeout documentation, punch list management, and turnover activities. Maintain accurate project records using Procore, Bluebeam, and other project management software. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in construction as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or related role. Experience on ground-up multifamily, hospitality, or similar projects strongly preferred. Knowledge of construction documents, contracts, scheduling, and project controls. Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
