Traveling / Nationwide About the Opportunity Our client is a leading builder in the mission-critical/data center space, delivering large-scale, complex projects across the U.S. This role supports high-profile data center builds with significant electrical and mechanical infrastructure scope. Position Summary Our client is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale data center projects. This is a high-travel role responsible for overseeing all site activities, with a strong emphasis on heavy electrical and MEP infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing complex builds, including generator and transformer yard installations, as well as advanced mechanical systems such as liquid-cooled environments. This individual will drive schedule, safety, quality, and coordination across multiple trades in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. This role will also oversee significant self-perform work scopes, requiring a strong background in managing craft labor and direct field execution. Key Responsibilities Lead all field operations from site mobilization through project closeout Oversee and coordinate all trades with a focus on electrical and MEP infrastructure Manage installation of generator farms, transformer yards, and associated distribution systems Coordinate complex mechanical scopes, including liquid-cooled systems and supporting infrastructure Oversee self-perform work scopes, including: Medium voltage electrical scope execution Electrical equipment foundations (transformer pads, generator pads, duct banks) Underground utilities Mechanical piping (partial scope) Precast support systems, including underground dead men Owner-furnished equipment (OFE) setting Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved Enforce safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on site Work closely with project management, engineering, and client teams to ensure alignment Identify and resolve field issues proactively to maintain progress Manage and mentor field staff, superintendents, and trade partners Qualifications 10+ years of construction experience, with significant time in a superintendent or leadership role Proven experience on large-scale data center or mission-critical projects Strong background in heavy electrical systems, MEP coordination, and infrastructure builds Experience managing self-perform scopes and direct craft labor Experience with generator installations, substations, and transformer yard scopes Familiarity with advanced mechanical systems, including liquid cooling (preferred) Ability to manage multiple crews, subcontractors, and fast-track schedules Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Willingness and ability to travel extensively Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Per diem and travel accommodations ($2,000 per week) Performance-based bonuses Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k, etc.) Opportunity to work on cutting-edge, high-profile data center projects Send resume to mitchell.guerrieri@gogpac.com for more information
