We are seeking a superintendent who takes ownership of their projects, communicates professionally, maintains exceptional documentation, and understands the level of execution required for ultra-custom residential construction. RJ Dailey Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day field operations of luxury custom residential projects in the Lake Tahoe region. This position is intended for construction professionals with significant experience building high-end custom homes. Candidates whose background is primarily in production, tract, multifamily, or commercial construction will not be considered.
Requirements:
10+ years of construction supervision experience 5+ years of luxury custom residential construction experience Prior experience building in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, or surrounding mountain communities Strong understanding of high-end residential construction methods and finishes Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Project Experience creating, updating, and maintaining detailed project schedules in Microsoft Project Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed, professional emails, meeting minutes, daily reports, owner updates, and subcontractor correspondence Experience preparing subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and scope descriptions Ability to code commitments and purchase orders to project budgets and schedule of values Proficiency with Buildertrend preferred. Experience with Procore, InBuild, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management software required Strong organizational, scheduling, and leadership skills
Responsibilities:
Be present onsite full-time, 8 hours per day Manage daily subcontractor activities and site operations Maintain and update project schedules Coordinate and attend all required building inspections Maintain detailed daily reports and project logs Maintain organized photographic documentation of project progress Prepare regular written project updates and project correspondence Coordinate with project management, architects, consultants, inspectors, and clients Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with plans and specifications Enforce site safety standards and maintain a clean, organized jobsite Prepare subcontract scopes of work for office review and issuance Prepare purchase order requests and material procurement requests Code subcontract and purchase order requests to the appropriate project budget and schedule of values Track long lead items and procurement schedules Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and cost control Identify schedule risks, budget impacts, and coordination issues before they affect project milestones
Compensation & Benefits:
