This role is ideal for a driven professional looking to advance their career in heavy civil and underground utility construction while contributing to high-impact public and private infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will assist in estimating, project coordination, cost analysis, scheduling, and operational support for a wide variety of civil construction projects including roadway improvements, underground utilities, storm drain systems, and electrical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for public and private civil construction projects Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, equipment, and materials Assist with project management duties including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and budget tracking Support bidding efforts for: Hard bid projects Time & Material contracts Master Service Agreements (MSAs) Coordinate with field personnel, vendors, suppliers, and clients Conduct occasional field visits to gather project information and verify site conditions Maintain organized project documentation and estimating records Ensure estimates and project deliverables meet company quality standards and deadlines Project Experience Includes Roadway and infrastructure improvements Mass grading and site development Water distribution systems (Ductile Iron, HDPE, PVC, Steel) Sewer systems (PVC, HDPE, VCP, Manholes, Lift Stations) Storm drain systems (RCP, RCB, HDPE, PVC, Structures) Underground electrical and communication conduit systems Street lighting and utility infrastructure Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Minimum 2 years of estimating or project management experience in civil construction Minimum 3 years of overall heavy civil or underground utility construction experience preferred Strong understanding of underground utility construction methods and civil infrastructure Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and civil designs Experience with estimating and project management software is highly preferred Familiarity with: AGTEK HeavyBid / Hard Dollar Vista Microsoft Office Suite Project scheduling software Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously Requirements Valid driver's license required Ability to travel occasionally within the state Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work at a desk/computer for extended periods Ability to safely collect and review field data when necessary Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and desire for professional growth What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Career advancement opportunities Hands-on training and mentorship Exposure to diverse and challenging infrastructure projects Stable, full-time employment with a growing company $80,000 to $130,000 a year pending experience 401(K) Health/Vision/ Dental Insurance Paid time off
