- Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead and coordinate various construction projects within our organization.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with our strategic objectives. Responsibilities Completes project bids/estimates, proposals, budgets, and detailed scopes of work; communicates regularly as the prime contact for clients; actively pursues new clients/job opportunities. Organize, manage, and plan complex projects from start to finish. Time will be spent in the field and the main office setting. Leads a team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and accurately and efficiently. Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly. Meets financial objectives using forecasting requirements; tracks job costs per project and compares project income for job costing; troubleshoots changes on-site during the project to maintain profitability. Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepares and completes work plans; implements productivity, quality, and client interaction standards; resolves problems; identifies trends within the remediation division of the company; determines system/operational improvements; implements policy changes. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal and professional networks, and identifying and participating in appropriate professional organizations. Gains/maintains familiarity with all environmental regulations (i.e. DER-10, SEQR, SPCC, CP-51, etc.) pertinent to the current company service area (New York State currently); maintains close relations with any/all NYSDEC representatives as appropriate; maintains active involvement in the continued understanding of any new/updated regulations as they may apply to our services; trains staff on any new technologies/processes that are required in these regulations. Prepares all applications for permits required for a job site and prepares and submits all interim and final site reports to the client and to any regulatory agency as necessary. Provides support to the President by being involved as requested in the recruitment, selection, training, assignment, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining of employees; communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews job contributions; enforces company policies and procedures. Manages all appropriate and legal waste disposal operations per State/Federal regulation; has support from the Assistant Project Manager in this task; is responsible for all lawful disposal of waste handled by the company. Documents legibly and accurately all work completed according to company policy (time/job sheets) and submits on a daily basis. Applies knowledge of products and services and seeks additional training/education as appropriate. Builds and maintains customer relations in field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company's reputation. Develops and implements operating procedures as required. Performs any and all other support/tasks as necessary to ensure efficient and effective operations of environmental and other divisions. Experience Proven experience in project management with a strong understanding of project management methodologies. Familiarity with estimating, budgeting, job costing, scheduling and time management philosophies. Proficient in using Microsoft Teams for documentation and collaboration purposes.
