A background in design and/or construction is great, but that should not preclude other candidates from submitting their resumes as we also look for the ability to be very flexible and adaptive to new concepts and differing styles. We ultimately want team members who enjoy building relationships, self-motivation, and delivering strategic/creative solutions in a team atmosphere. Artaic Group is seeking a part-time construction manager with site civil project experience to join the team. General responsibilities, based on level and experience may include:
  • Represent the Owner as the on-site presence during construction of site civil and utility improvements (once per week)
  • Conduct weekly site observations and prepare written electronic progress reports with photos
  • Monitor grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, storm, and related utility work
  • Attend and lead weekly project meetings and support coordination among stakeholders and utility service providers (water/sewer, electrical, and fiber)
  • Track project issues, schedule risks, change events, and action items
  • Review contractor progress for general consistency with the contract documents
  • Support Owner review of pay applications, change orders, and closeout items
  • Coordinate the final punch process and site close-out with the contractor and design team
  • Draft a monthly report summarizing overall project progress and potential issues, risks, and opportunities Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, construction management, owner's representation, or related infrastructure project oversight
  • Strong background in site civil and underground utility construction
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Strong field observation, reporting, and communication skills
  • Experience working with owners, contractors, engineers, and utility providers
  • Strong experience with land development and civil projects.
  • Experience managing teams and success working in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong experience with MS Office, Bluebeam, Scheduling Software, and Budget Management Software.
Pay:
$60.00 - $80.00 per hour
