Employment Type:
Full-Time We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Demolition Superintendent to oversee demolition projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing crews, equipment, subcontractors, safety compliance, and project schedules while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. Capable of operating heavy equipment is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise all on-site demolition operations. Coordinate daily activities of operators, laborers, subcontractors, and vendors. Plan and schedule project activities to meet deadlines and budget requirements. Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements. Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and toolbox talks. Monitor project progress and address operational challenges as they arise. Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower requirements. Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies. Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and safety records. Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of demolition experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities. Strong knowledge of demolition methods, heavy equipment operations, and site safety requirements. Experience managing commercial, industrial, and residential demolition projects. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules. OSHA certification and other relevant safety training preferred. Valid driver's license required; CDL is an asset. Experience with asbestos abatement and environmental remediation projects is an advantage.
