Job Description

Project Director - Commercial Construction The Kulka Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Director to join our leadership team. This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the successful execution of multiple commercial construction projects while helping drive operational excellence, client satisfaction, team development, and company growth. The Project Director will work closely with Executive Leadership, Project Managers, Superintendents, Clients, Architects, Engineers, and Ownership teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and at the highest level of quality. We are looking for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates exceptionally well, takes ownership, and has the ability to lead teams while managing complex projects and client relationships. Responsibilities Oversee multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams Monitor project budgets, schedules, staffing, risk management, and overall performance Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and ownership teams Lead high-level project meetings and strategic planning discussions Assist in developing and improving operational systems, standards, and processes Identify and mitigate project risks proactively Support preconstruction efforts, budgeting, value engineering, and procurement strategy Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company quality standards and client expectations Mentor and develop project management staff Collaborate closely with Executive Leadership on company growth initiatives and operational strategy Help maintain and strengthen company culture and accountability across project teams Push projects to beat deadlines Qualifications 15+ years of commercial construction experience preferred Proven experience managing large and complex commercial construction projects Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Deep understanding of construction operations, project management, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Experience with client relationship management is a plus Proficiency in construction management software platforms and Microsoft Office What We Value At Kulka, we are focused on building more than projects — we are building a long-term organization centered around accountability, professionalism, communication, teamwork, and delivering a world-class client experience.
