Build Hudson is a design-build company in Hudson, NY focused on delivering high-quality carpentry while training local young people in the building trades. We're hiring a Project Manager to oversee the execution of residential construction projects. This role is intended for experienced professionals with a proven track record of leadership and coordination in residential construction. What we're looking for The Project Manager owns residential projects from pre-construction through closeout, serving as the central point of coordination between the client, design team, and field operations. This role ensures that scope, schedule, budget, and quality remain aligned while delivering a clear, professional experience for all stakeholders. You may have grown into this skillset through the trades, field leadership, or hands-on project coordination. We value lived experience as much as formal titles. You are highly organized and comfortable managing schedules, budgets, documentation, and multiple stakeholders simultaneously. You understand the financial mechanics of construction projects and can forecast, track, and clearly communicate cost impacts. Change management does not catch you off guard. You document it, communicate it, and manage it with professionalism. Strong communication is central to your effectiveness. You are clear, consistent, and proactive with clients, designers, trade partners, and internal team members. You know how to lead meetings, document decisions, and follow through on commitments, maintaining calm, professional relationships even when projects become complex or high-pressure. Equally as important as your experience leading residential construction projects, you strongly align with our mission to provide education and on-the-job experience in the trades and to create meaningful career pathways for local community members within the construction industry. Our office is located in Hudson, NY, with projects throughout the greater Hudson area. Reliable transportation to the office/shop and job sites is required.
