Position Summary The Construction Project Manager is a hands-on, field-driven leader responsible for managing active construction projects from initial evaluation through final closeout. This role spends a significant portion of time in the field overseeing jobsite operations, subcontractors, safety, quality, and schedule adherence. The Project Manager serves as the primary on-site representative of SERVPRO, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company and customer standards. Core Field Responsibilities Jobsite Leadership & Execution Serve as the primary on-site manager for active construction projects Coordinate and direct in-house crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries Maintain daily jobsite presence to monitor progress, quality, and productivity Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, local codes, and scope of work Identify and resolve field issues quickly to minimize delays and rework Compile and manage punch list items through completion Scheduling & Coordination Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines Sequence trades and activities to maximize efficiency Adjust schedules as needed based on site conditions, material availability, or scope changes Communicate schedule updates clearly to customers, subcontractors, and internal teams Quality Control & Safety Conduct routine quality assurance inspections throughout the project lifecycle Enforce company standards and workmanship expectations Promote and enforce safe work practices at all jobsites Ensure compliance with safety, risk management, and OSHA-related guidelines Address unsafe conditions immediately and document corrective actions Project & Customer Management Customer & Client Interaction Act as the primary point of contact for customers and clients during construction Educate customers on construction processes, timelines, and expectations Maintain consistent, professional communication throughout the project Perform final walk-throughs with customers and secure signed Certificates of Completion and Satisfaction Estimating & Project Development Evaluate construction projects in the field Develop scopes of work based on site conditions and customer needs Review and explain estimates to customers and clients Negotiate scope, pricing, and expectations when required Assist in collecting deposits, progress draws, and final payments Financial, Personnel & Resource Management Review project budgets and track job costs in coordination with leadership Monitor labor, material, and subcontractor costs in the field Recruit, train, onboard, and supervise field personnel as needed Identify, qualify, and manage subcontractors and resource providers Manage warranty items and post-project follow-up Ensure proper permits are obtained prior to work commencement Manage company equipment, tools, and materials assigned to projects Physical and Work Environment Requirements Extensive walking and standing on active jobsites Frequent driving between project locations Occasional ladder climbing and work in confined spaces Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, including heat and cold Moderate to loud noise levels typical of construction environments Working Hours & Travel This is a full-time, field-based position. Standard working hours are Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Travel is primarily local, with occasional out-of-area or overnight travel as needed.
