Leveraging in-house construction management expertise and an in-depth understanding of market dynamics, Stake Property Group focuses on uncovering hidden opportunities and delivering sustainable long-term growth. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, for a Director of Construction. The Director of Construction will oversee all construction projects, including managing budgets, controlling costs, and supervising procurement activities. Responsibilities include leading project planning, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and engineers, and monitoring timelines to ensure projects are completed on schedule. The role also involves maintaining high construction quality standards and reporting progress to senior management. Qualifications Proven expertise in Budgeting and Cost Management to effectively manage project finances and control expenses. Experience in Procurement activities, including sourcing and managing vendors and suppliers. Strong knowledge of Construction processes and techniques, with hands-on experience managing multifamily and mixed-use assets. Educational background in Civil Engineering or related fields, with demonstrated application in construction project management. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes. Proficiency in construction management software and tools is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline required. A Master's degree or equivalent professional certification is advantageous.
