Project Superintendent

SITE SUPERINTENDENT

McCarey Landscaping Inc., a Heavy Civil Commercial Contractor, located in Middletown, NY, is seeking a Site Superintendent to manage daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations (OSHA) and quality standards. To coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment, while acting as the bridge between management, clients, and crews.

Key Responsibilities Site Operations & Scheduling:

Direct daily construction activities, maintain a 3-week look-ahead schedule, and update the master schedule to meet milestones.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

Quality Control & Inspection:

Inspect work for compliance with blueprints, specifications, and building codes.

Subcontractor & Vendor Management:

Coordinate subcontractor schedules, assign work, and ensure timely material and equipment deliveries.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain daily job logs, track progress, and report on material usage and costs.

Problem-Solving:

Resolve on-site conflicts, design issues, or logistical delays.

Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Proven experience as a superintendent or in a similar role in Heavy Civil commercial or industrial construction.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.

Leadership:

Ability to lead, motivate, and direct crews and subcontractors.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and project managers.

Software Proficiency:

Experience with scheduling software, Procore, and MS Office Suite. Qualifications Must have at least 5 years of experience in Commercial construction.
