  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Director of Construction Assistant to support the Director of Construction in overseeing daily construction operations and project coordination.
This role is ideal for a proactive professional looking to grow within the construction management field while gaining hands-on exposure to active projects in the New York City area. Responsibilities Support the Director of Construction with daily coordination, scheduling, and administrative tasks Organize and maintain construction paperwork (contracts, permits, change orders, invoices, compliance documents) Track contractor and subcontractor licenses, insurance certificates, and renewals Submit required documentation to city agencies and project stakeholders Order construction materials, track deliveries, and follow up with vendors Maintain workers' timesheets, labor reports, and work logs; coordinate with accounting Track project expenses and prepare cost summaries for each project Maintain organized digital and hard-copy project files Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors Attend meetings, take meeting notes, and follow up on action items Perform general office and administrative support as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred 1-3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or a related role (entry-level candidates with strong qualifications will be considered) Basic understanding of construction processes and project management principles Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook; Project a plus) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Experience working on projects in the New York City area is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement Exposure to diverse construction projects Supportive and collaborative work environment
