Job Description
The Galesi Group is seeking an experienced construction professional to lead its Industrial Construction and Capital Projects Division. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of industrial construction practices and demonstrate the ability to successfully manage large-scale industrial projects from planning and design through construction and project closeout. Primary Responsibilities Oversee all phases of industrial construction and capital improvement projects from inception to completion Manage construction of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, and infrastructure-related facilities Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, utility providers, and municipal agencies Review and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and MEP plans and specifications Prepare project budgets, estimates, bid packages, scopes of work, and construction schedules Solicit, analyze, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor proposals Manage site development activities including grading, utilities, paving, drainage, and infrastructure improvements Coordinate utility installations and upgrades including electric, gas, water, sewer, fire protection, and telecommunications Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, safety standards, and quality expectations Conduct regular site inspections and project meetings with contractors and consultants Manage permitting, inspections, environmental compliance, and code enforcement coordination Oversee tenant improvements and build-to-suit industrial projects Review contractor payment applications, change orders, and project cost tracking Identify and resolve construction, scheduling, and field coordination issues Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies Maintain project documentation, reporting, and closeout procedures Assist with long-term capital planning and maintenance initiatives across industrial properties and facilities Qualifications Minimum 7-10 years of industrial construction, project management, or development experience Strong understanding of industrial building systems, site development, and construction sequencing Experience with warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or heavy industrial facilities preferred Experience with CAD and ability to read and interpret construction documents and engineering plans General understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems Knowledge of industrial building codes, permitting procedures, environmental regulations, and safety standards Experience with budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and contract administration Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Experience with industrial redevelopment projects, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and large-scale site infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
Pay:
