HUEBER-BREUER CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. JOB DESCRIPTION SUPERINTENDENT
Summary The Superintendent oversees the site operations of construction projects from planning to completion, including daily scheduling, supervising all activities, materials and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site. Position Responsibilities Set up jobsite with all necessary items, i.e. dumpsters, snow removal, porta-johns, job trailer if needed, safety fence, any and all coordination with surrounding buildings. Work with local authorities including code enforcement, fire department, police, etc. to make sure they are aware of the project in their jurisdiction Manage time, information and materials to develop a project on time and under budget. Organize, coordinate and schedule subcontractors performing their respective scope of work to maximize efficiency and profit Supervise the day to day activities; coordinate all work with trades; confirm all material being installed is per drawings and specs Keep Project Manager informed of any issues, delays or modifications to the original scope Stay in communication with owner, responding to questions or concerns, ensuring that the project is being built to accommodate all their needs. Keep them informed of progress and upcoming work Make sure that all communication between owner, design team and Hueber-Breuer is properly documented either by RFI's or emails Make sure that safety is a priority, notifying either contractor or Hueber-Breuer Safety Manager of any deficiencies Resolve conflicts related to structural, mechanical and architectural designs Manage self-performed work efficiently Keep job site clean and presentable at all times Maintain daily logs and pictures and prepare reports in Procore Assist with punch list and ensure that all trades react quickly and efficiently to complete their work Supervise any other superintendents and assistant superintendents assigned to the project Use carpentry tools and equipment as needed
Education, Experience and Skills:
Five years or more of construction experience 30 hour OSHA certification Knowledge of OSHA regulations Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets Carpentry and welding experience Ability to operate a forklift Certified in CPR and First Aid Computer literate
Physical Requirements:
