Job Description

Responsibilities:
Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland. Ensure that the child/staff standards are met at all times. Review and/or develop lesson plans and/or classroom activities for accuracy, age/audience appropriateness and completeness. Provide training and technical assistance to support staff as needed. Review staff's folders quarterly to ensure that required documentation is on file. Participate in monitoring visits conducted by Grantee Agency, ODJFS and others as scheduled. Problem-solve to correct non-compliances during the monitoring visits. Prepare and submit a written response of corrective action plan to correct non-compliances to the Director. Prepare and submit all required reports or documentation to management as requested. Accountable for the physical maintenance of the service area, by making sure that the area is clean at all times, reporting physical maintenance or cleaning needs. Resolve and document any concerns or conflicts that arise between staff and parents at the site, involving the appropriate supervisor as needed. Ensure that all incidents, such as child abuse allegations, staff and/or parent conflicts are reported to the appropriate supervisor and ODJFS (when applicable). Administer CPR and First Aid as needed. Work with site administrative team to ensure program is integrated into building operations. Perform other duties necessary to accomplish objectives.
Requirements:
Combination of experience and education normally represented by a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Adolescent Psychology, Child Development or Human Services or a related field. Three to five years of experience working in a childcare or afterschool care program preferred. Two years of administrative or supervisory experience preferred. Administrator's License preferred. If not currently licensed, must meet requirements for immediate licensing within 90 days. Experienced in pursuing and maintaining SUTQ Star Award ratings. Must be well organized, efficient and detail oriented and have the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must have competent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software. Must have the ability to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural, and administrative backgrounds. Must have the ability to form professional relationships with community organizations as well as staff at all levels. Must be able to actively contribute to an atmosphere that fosters teamwork and professionalism amongst program participants and staff. Must have valid Ohio Driver's License and reliable means of transportation for local travel. Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check.
