- A Construction Superintendent, or Construction Supervisor, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Their duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks and providing on-site direction when preparing construction sites.
- Construction Superintendents complete organizational and project management responsibilities to effectively lead the construction team and ensure they have all of the resources they need.
- A typical project will range from $500,000 to $10M.
May manage 4-6 projects at varying stages.
Responsibilities:
Confirm all aspects of the Pre-Construction to Production hand-off package, including plans, specifications, and scheduling Manage subcontractors and suppliers to build projects per plans in regards to the scope of work, specifications, and selections. Schedule subcontractors and material deliveries. Order Materials - Pick-up and Deliver Materials Double check all Bids Accepted for accuracy BEFORE authorizing order - specific emphasis on expensive, long lead items (cabinets, store front windows frames and doors, glass etc). Place orders and manage the delivery of long lead items (lighting, windows, doors, cabinets, etc). Conduct thorough and accurate project layouts. Maintain up-to-date project schedules. Maintain up-to-date punch lists, including timely check-off of completed items. Schedule all required inspections. Maintain safe, clean and orderly job sites Post and maintain job site signage. Facilitate all Extra Change Orders with authorizations and approvals. Photo document projects; Log all field paperwork (surveys, third-party inspection reports, etc) in a timely fashion. Prepare agendas, schedule updates and run weekly client updates. Approve subcontractor and supplier invoices and manage disputed invoices. Track and manage back charges with Project Coordinator, Project Managers and Accounting Manager. Manage Client Change Order Request (requirements gathering) process with Project Managers. Obtain signed Change Orders from Clients once Project Managers has approval. Fill out Quality Control checklists. Conduct Client punch walk and manage punch list. Conduct final client walk and handoff. Manage Warranty Requests Participate in weekly Production Meetings.
Education:
OSHA - 30
High School Diploma, Construction technology or related field, preferred.

Experience:
- 10 years Supervisory/Leadership Skills is preferred but not required.
