POSITION SUMMARY
The Coordinator supports the daily operations and quality oversight of residential homes serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position serves as a key liaison between direct support staff and Program Managers, providing hands-on operational support, documentation oversight, and staffing assistance across assigned homes. The Coordinator may also fulfill Site Supervisor responsibilities for homes without an assigned supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Home Monitoring & Quality Oversight Conduct regular monitoring visits to residential homes to ensure compliance with organizational standards and individual support plans. Review and oversee home documentation including Medication Administration Records (MARs), individual personal fund ledgers, and house book paperwork. Identify and report documentation deficiencies or quality concerns to Program Managers. Staffing Support Serve as on-call support to assist with staffing emergencies and scheduling gaps. Fill in as needed to maintain adequate staffing levels across assigned homes. Staff Training & Development Assist with the training of new and existing direct support staff. Model best practices in person-centered care and documentation standards. Documentation & Compliance Provide documentation oversight as requested by Program Managers. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all required home records and reports. Attend monthly team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts. Medical Coordination Assist in planning and attending medical appointments. Conduct pharmacy runs and medication pickups as needed. Ensure medications are properly received, stored, and documented in accordance with agency policy. Site Supervisor Coverage (as assigned) Fill gaps in homes without an assigned Site Supervisor. Ensure household groceries and supplies are adequately stocked. Oversee scheduling and follow-through of medical and community appointments. Ensure appointments are attended and documented to appropriate standards. Carry out additional Site Supervisor responsibilities as assigned by Program Managers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or related field preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Ability to pass required background checks. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Experience in a supervisory or coordinator role within a residential or community-based setting. Familiarity with Medication Administration Records (MARs) and individual fund management. Knowledge of state regulations and standards for IDD residential services.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Regular travel between residential homes is required. Afternoon availability is required. On-call availability is required; schedule may include evenings and weekends. Physical requirements include the ability to assist with daily living activities as needed. Gas stipend provided to offset travel costs.
Pay:
$16.50 - $20.00 per hour
