We provide general contracting, construction development and construction management services to commercial, multi-family and industrial clients. J.A. Fielden has completed more than 460 projects throughout the eastern United States since its inception in 1992. Our project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors have created a culture of working together to plan projects to minimize the effects of material volatility, manpower shortages, weather impacts, and other potential delays. We encourage input from subcontractors, vendors, and others when developing schedules and constantly provide updates to adjust for changing conditions. Providing client-focused services has always been our key approach as we continue to exceed our customers' expectations. As an Industrial Superintendent at J.A. Fielden, you are responsible for the overall oversight of the on-site day-to-day supervision for the construction project to include: Manage the day-to-day field activities to ensure that the project milestone dates and the overall schedule completion date is met. Manage and proactively identify issues and facilitate solutions. Create and maintain a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness. Verify that all work is installed in a workmanlike manner (i.e.: ADA compliance, etc.). Obtain all inspections and ensure that the quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented. Ensure all aspects of the project are compliant with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project and the community in which the project(s) takes place. Conduct and/or attend progress, safety, and SWPPP meetings. Provide weekly project updates and identify any potential risks that may require input and/or decisions from others. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients including representatives of the Owner, Architect/Engineer, etc.…. Review contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements to ensure that the scope, terms, and conditions are consistently and proactively being met throughout the project. Ensure documentation is maintained (i.e., daily reports, weekly reports, meeting minutes, purchase orders, invoicing, change orders, RFIs, schedule updates, and E-mail correspondence) and distributed as required. Create reports and documentation for project from scratch and execute to owners. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Onsite job experience as a Superintendent required in an Industrial Construction setting Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, SureTrak and Procore software Strong, clear and concise communication and computer skills Demonstrate effective organizational, time management and analytical skills Advanced understanding of industry Commitment to safety Possess the ability to work effectively with others, build relationships and resolve conflict Exhibits strong leadership qualities
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma required, Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent preferred Minimum 5 years of industry experience Walmart Distribution Center/Fulfillment construction experience a plus J.A.
