DeLamar Pay:
Annual $115,000- 125,000
DOE Schedule:
4-10 hour Shifts (Monday- Thursday or Tuesday
- Friday)
Summary:
DeLamar is a development project that includes the DeLamar and Florida Mountain deposits located in Idaho. The Construction Superintendent is responsible for directly managing the execution of construction and commissioning projects, ensuring that all site operations align with project goals. This role includes reviewing engineering designs and specifications, coordinating with various teams, and overseeing all site construction activities. The Superintendent will work closely with the procurement team to develop Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and conduct site bid walks for project work. Additionally, this position involves collaborating with internal teams and external consultants to facilitate smooth execution from design through construction. In this capacity, the Superintendent will also ensure compliance with applicable regulations, support the Project Development Manager, and contribute to the advancement of the DeLamar project by effectively managing site construction activities, promoting best practices, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Reports to; Project Development Manager Direct Reports; Site project contractors, consultants, and site project team Interacts with; VP Project Development Project Development Team (Boise Office)Contractors and Consultants External Stakeholders:
Regulatory agencies Design and engineering firms Local community representatives Responsibilities Promote and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards on-site. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, governmental regulations, and company policies. Review engineering designs and specifications to meet project requirements and industry standards and ensure construction and commissioning activities adhere to approved drawings and contracts. Establish and update progress and cost KPIs for construction and commissioning activities. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective project execution and provide oversight to site project teams for enhanced efficiency and quality. Assist in the preparation and management of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Implement solutions for issues that arise during construction and commissioning while maintaining timelines and cost control. Monitor site activities to ensure alignment with engineering practices, resolving discrepancies as needed. Maintain project documentation, including reports, plans, and design changes due to site construction advancements. Support the permitting process by providing site-specific details as needed. Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies for mitigation throughout the project. Participate in project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within site construction activities. Other responsibilities as assigned. Requirement 10+ years of experience in engineering or project management within mining or related sectors. Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Mining preferred) or equivalent experience in project management. Strong knowledge of engineering, construction, commissioning principles and practices related to mining operations. Experience with project delivery methods, particularly the EPC or EPCM approach. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Familiarity with local and federal regulations relevant to mining and construction, including MSHA and permitting processes.
