Job Description
At Jacobs, we push the limits of what's possible to make the world smarter and more connected. We are tendering for the construction supervision of electrical infrastructure and facility projects in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. These projects are part of a program of facility improvement projects in a multi-State region. Some projects are located in rural and remote locations. As a Construction Manager, you will interface extensively with client stakeholders, contractors and the Jacobs cross-functional team. You will provide oversight of the pre-construction and construction processes to ensure that the project is safely and accurately implemented on site adhering to the requirements of the construction contract and permitting requirements. You will lead a team in monitoring the progress of construction project and advising steps to ensure the project goals are achieved. Responsibilities can include field/site inspections and Quality Assurance. You will have the opportunity to manage and direct a team of support staff and site Inspectors for the supervision of the project. You will report on progress, safety, financial projections, quality control and changes in the contract work. Responsibilities also include review of change orders for validity and cost reasonableness. You will develop a trusted relationship with the project team, contractor and with the client's staff. You will place an emphasis on safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. You will report to the Jacobs Project Manager and supervise the project team (inspectors, office engineers etc.). You will interface and work daily with the client's team, project stakeholders and contractor. BS in Construction Management, or equivalent related experience in lieu of a degree 12+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction organization. Proven experience within large construction programs. Strong working knowledge of pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship. Valid Driver's license and good driving history. Ability to Travel for occasional project site visits.

Certified Construction Manager (CMAA) OSHA 30Essential Functions:
Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
