Position Overview The Veteran Foreman is a field-based leadership role responsible for directing and coordinating daily construction activities across multiple project sites nationwide. This position requires 100% travel, often to remote or high-security locations, and demands a strong background in safety, environmental compliance, and federal construction standards. The Veteran Foreman oversees a crew of approximately five team members, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with RHL Companies' quality expectations. Key Responsibilities Field Leadership & Crew Management Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a crew of 5 employees on active project sites. Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure work meets project specifications. Provide on-the-job training and support to new or less experienced crew members. Maintain discipline, accountability, and a positive team culture. Safety & Compliance Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations on every job site. Conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments. Ensure proper use of PPE, safe equipment operation, and adherence to site-specific safety plans. Identify and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions immediately. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Standards Apply knowledge of
USACE EM 385-1-1
safety and health requirements. Ensure all work activities comply with federal construction and environmental standards. Maintain documentation and reporting required for USACE-regulated projects. Coordinate with Quality Control and Site Safety personnel to meet federal expectations. Project Execution Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to guide daily operations. Coordinate materials, equipment, and logistics to keep work on schedule. Communicate progress, issues, and resource needs to project managers. Ensure all work meets RHL's quality standards and client requirements. Travel & Site Mobility Travel full-time to project sites across the United States (100% travel required). Adapt to varying climates, terrain, and project conditions. Maintain readiness for extended stays away from home. Documentation & Reporting Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and equipment logs accurately. Document safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions. Support environmental and quality documentation as required. Qualifications Required Prior military experience strongly preferred, leadership roles highly valued. Minimum 3-5 years of construction or field operations experience. Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations. Familiarity with
USACE EM 385-1-1
standards. Proven ability to lead and motivate small crews. Ability to travel 100% of the time. Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks for federal sites. Preferred Experience working on federal, military, or government construction projects. Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or

training. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to operate construction equipment or specialty tools. Work Environment Outdoor, field-based work in varying weather conditions.
