Production Manager

Job Summary:

Russell Roofing & Exteriors is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to lead our Production Department. This role consists of managing the day-to-day field operations, scheduling, and labor for construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This position is the bridge between project management and field staff.

Main areas of field focus:

managing Superintendents / Foreman, managing Subcontractors, managing materials, managing job site safety, managing contract execution, and managing customers.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling and Dispatch:

Coordinating project schedules, ensuring crew availability, and managing Superintendents, Foreman, Subcontractors and In-house crews to meet deadlines.

Site Management and Safety:

Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, ensuring strict adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Review safety inspection reports produced by in house inspectors.

Operational Efficiency:

Managing material procurement, inventory, and equipment, and optimizing workflow to minimize delays.

Cost Control:

Monitoring project budgets, tracking job costs, and approving invoices.

Communication:

Acting as the main point of contact for field staff, vendors, and project managers to resolve issues promptly.

Crew Management:

Supervise and coordinate multiple roofing and exterior siding/gutter crews to follow work orders, scopes, and schedules.

Project Scheduling & Logistics:

Coordinate materials, trailers, lifts, and ladders for projects, tracking deliveries and material returns.

Quality & Safety Control:

Conduct on-roof inspections and site visits to enforce safety standards (OSHA compliance, tie-offs) and ensure quality craftsmanship.

Customer-Facing Relations:

Act as the support contact for homeowners, providing updates, conducting final walkthroughs, and ensuring client satisfaction as needed.

Field Decision-Making:

Solve on-site issues in real-time, handle change orders, and manage project timelines to keep projects on track.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in roofing and exterior remodeling. Proven experience as a Foreman, Crew Lead, or Project Manager. Strong knowledge of roofing systems, siding, and gutter installations. Excellent communication skills for managing crews, customers, and vendors. Proficiency with CRM/project management software (e.g., JobNimbus, CompanyCam, etc.). Valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Position:

$95k

• $125k Company Vehicle (including Gas Card, EZ Pass, and Philadelphia Parking Permit) $15 Weekly Phone Stipend Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
