We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Superintendent to join our team and lead our utility construction projects.Position Overview:
As a Superintendent, you will play a critical role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of utility construction projects related to water and wastewater systems. You will be responsible for coordinating all onsite activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and managing resources to deliver projects on time and within budget. Projects are located throughout PA, WV, and OH. Overnight travel may be required depending on project location.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of utility construction projects related to water, wastewater and natural gas infrastructure.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labor, and resources to ensure project milestones are met.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety throughout the project site.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
- Conduct daily site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and identify any potential issues.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules and progress reports
- Coordinate and verify material deliveries with suppliers and vendors
- Review daily progress reports and verify accuracy of quantities, materials, time keeping etc.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to field personnel and facilitate training as needed.
- Implement best practices and innovative approaches to improve construction efficiency and quality.
- Participate in bid reviews and pre-construction project assessments; provide feedback on construction means and methods during bid process
- Attend regular scheduled progress meetings with clients and provide project updates
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent, foreman or similar role within utility construction, specifically focusing on water, wastewater and/or natural gasinfrastructure.
- Proven track record of managing construction projects from inception to completion, with strong knowledge of construction methods and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Relevant certifications (OSHA, Operator Qualification (OQ), etc.
Pay:
$95,000.00- $104,000.
